Bacteriophage Morphology: A Snippet Through the Past Century

2024
Audience: cellular, microbiology, or general biology undergraduate students
Programs: Cinema4D, Adobe Substance Designer, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator

Description

A poster illustrating how the classification of bacteriophage morphology has changed over time as technological molecular visualization advances. The timeline begins from the discovery of the bacteriophage and ends in the modern day.

The Meselson-Stahl Experiment

2024
Audience: high school students taking an introductory biology course and cellular, microbiology, or general biology undergraduate students
Programs: Cinema4D, Redshift, Adobe Illustrator

Description

A poster highlighting the Meselson-Stahl experiment, which contributed to one of the most important discoveries in molecular genetics. It provided evidence towards the Watson and Crick's hypothesis in that DNA was replicated in a semi-conservative manner.

TLR2/TLR1 Heterodimer Activation via Diprovocim

2024
Audience: general scientific community, particularly those who have specialization in molecular biology

Programs: PDB, UniProt, Alphafold, Molstar, VMD, Cinema 4D, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

Description

This poster portrays the structure of Diprovocim as it interacts with TLR2. Traditionally, triacylated lipoproteins have been the only ligand to initiate the TLR2/TLR1 dimerization, however recently, Diprovocim has also been found to have this ability. It has a unique structure compared to triacylated lipoproteins therefore, further research can be conducted to see its potential use in anti-cancer treatments. It has a higher affinity for TLR2 than TLR1, so the poster primarily focuses on its interaction with TLR2 in the TLR2 binding pocket.
